MIL-PRF-23377 revisions and versions

MIL-PRF-23377K - Version K is the latest revision of the MIL-PRF-23377 specification. This specification pertains to high-solids epoxy primer coatings that are resistant to corrosion, chemicals, and solvents, while also inhibiting corrosion. These coatings are solvent-borne and possess a maximum volatile organic compound (VOC) content of 340 grams per litre (g/L) (equivalent to 2.8 pounds per gallon [lb/gal]).

MIL-PRF-23377J - Version J was established in 2005 as part of the ongoing development of the MIL-PRF-23377 specification, with two further amendments before Version K being first used in 2012.

MIL-PRF-23377H - Established in 2002, version H Supersedes MIL-PRF-23377G.

MIL-PRF-23377G - G was one of the earlier versions of the spec, first established in 1994 and amended in 1999.

Qualified Products Database (QPD) Considerations for MIL-PRF-23377 Primer

For certain U.S. military and defence contracts, MIL-PRF-23377 primer products may be required to be listed on the Qualified Products Database (QPD). QPD listing confirms that a specific product has been formally evaluated and approved for use by the relevant contracting authority. Procurement requirements can vary by programme, application, and contracting officer. Buyers should always confirm whether QPD-listed material is required for their application before ordering. Where applicable, supporting documentation should be reviewed to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
