Account Manager

The Role

At Sil-Mid our Account Managers create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The Internal Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities.

You will use Sil-Mid’s Website ( ERP software (Winman) and customer data analysis software (Phocas) and the full suite of software provided in Office 365. You will have a flair for client communication and understand customer behaviour, you will know how to meet ambitious individual and team-wide sales targets.


  • Communicate with customers via various means;web chat, email and voice
  • Delivering excellent customerservice and satisfaction to all customers
  • Identifying opportunities and logging on a CRM platform for Bus Dev Team
  • Updating and maintaining database with accurate customer information

Key Account Executive

The Role

A Key Account Executive is responsible for the performance of a defined set of VIP customers whose business is of  considerable value, volume and opportunity to the business. The aim of the role is to develop strong relationships with  the key contacts for each of those customers to retain, extend and explore new opportunities that provide innovative  mutually beneficial business solutions.

To achieve this a KAE will use the systems and data available to manage incoming customer enquiries, process and  manage orders and shipping processes.


  • Serve as the lead point of contact for customers
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Negotiate contract pricing and complete tender documents
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with customers and stakeholders

Warehouse Operative

The Role

The Warehouse Operative is responsible for facilitating the smooth running of the busy, fast paced warehouse operation, managing stock intake and preparing stock for dispatch. The Warehouse Operative must take personal responsibility for following procedures correctly, checking to prevent errors and maintaining a safe and clean environment. 

The Warehouse Operative must have a valid Bendi Licence and a Counter balance licence which will need to be renewed every 3 years.


  • Picking and packing for dispatch cover may be required
  • Ensure tasks are carried out in compliance with Quality Procedure and training provided.
  • Ensure that all work requiring inspection is properly checked and complies with internal process and policy.

The Role

A Buyer is primarily responsible for the planning, selecting and purchase of goods and services to meet the requirements of the business. This is the acquisition process and is just one small part of the whole Procurement process.

The Buyer is also responsible for managing the business spend using robust forecasting and cost reduction methodologies, supporting business operations through on demand and zero-defect supply, and protecting the business from risk by deploying a risk-based approach to our vendor selection and inventory management.


  • Research, assess and prioritise both internal and external stakeholders' requirements to ensure expectations are met
  • Communicate to internal stakeholders on procurement and supply matters
  • Deliver customer service and stakeholder satisfaction for procurement and provide continuous improvement
