Customers Now Benefit from Direct Global Access to Full Range of Cabin Interior and Exterior Coatings in a Click-to-Ship Ecommerce Environment
ARLINGTON, Texas, January 30, 2024 – UK-based Silmid, a GracoRoberts Company, has entered into an agreement with paint and coatings’ giant AkzoNobel to become an Authorized Distributor of its aerospace coatings line across the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Asia. Adding Silmid as an Authorized Distributor across the GracoRoberts family of brands expands over three decades of GracoRoberts’ North American distribution coverage and allows the collective entity to become a true global paints and coatings provider.
The agreement enables Silmid to provide 300 different paint and coating products to its commercial, air defense, and general aviation buyers. The company will offer the full scope of AkzoNobel’s interior and exterior coating brands including Eclipse, Aerodur, Alumigrip, Aerobase, Aeroflex, Aerowave, Aviox, Metaflex, Pyroflex, and Pyrosil through its world-class multi-currency and multi-lingual ecommerce platform at www.silmid.com.
AkzoNobel’s EMEA Aerospace Sales Director Xavier Rijmenans spoke to the relationship equity developed between AkzoNobel and Silmid parent’ GracoRoberts, and Silmid’s value proposition as an ecommerce leader. “In this new Supply Chain 4.0 era of immediate access and process automation, we chose Silmid for their ecommerce leadership and process automation expertise and are confident that they will add ease and value to the customer.”

The agreement was effective January 1, 2024.
