Product Information
This tape is applied to one side of fibre impregnated or aluminum honeycomb core material to hold it in place on a vacuum table for milling the opposite side. This tape can also be applied to aluminum, stainless steel or non-metallic floor panels around galley and lavatory areas on many types of aircraft to prevent water damage, oxidation or metal corrosion. It is also an excellent protective material for aircraft windows during stripping operations, but is not intended for fly-away applications.
Protex 223-5 has high tensile, tear and impact strength. It is inert in water, is moisture/vapour resistant, and is unaffected by oils, greases and volatile aromatics.
