Product Information
It is formulated from silicone oil and organic thickener. Molykote 111 provides excellent water resistance, low volatility and low vapour pressure. It is highly versatile and can be used with various elastomers and plastics.
Properties:
- Silicone-based: Resistant to water washout, weathering, and harsh environments
- Excellent water resistance: Complies with several global standards for water contact, making it suitable for plumbing and marine applications
- Wide temperature range: Performs well in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 200°C (-40°F to 392°F)
- Low vapor pressure and volatility: Minimises evaporation, ensuring the grease stays in place
- Compatibility: Compatible with many plastics and elastomers, commonly used in seals and gaskets
- Food and water contact safe: Conforms to regulations like FDA 175.300 and NSF 51, making it suitable for applications involving potable water or food
