Product Information
Unlike more permanent threadlockers, Loctite 222 offers a light bond that can be undone using standard hand tools, making it ideal for delicate or low-torque applications. The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. The thixotropic nature of Loctite 222 reduces the migration of liquid product after application to the substrate. Cure time of this product depends on a number of factors, including temperature, substrate, bond gap, and the use of a Loctite Activator.
