Product Information
This is a flame-resistant product with a very low moisture vapour transmission rate, making this tape an effective sealant. As it is an acrylic adhesive, combined with a durable aluminium backing, these properties are ideal for a long serviceable life indoors and outdoors. The aluminium backing also provides excellent reflection of both heat and light, further enhancing its performance in demanding environments.
It is an effective maskant in aluminium electroplating as it will not contaminate the bath. It achieves optimal results when applied to a clean, dry surface above 0°C (32°F).
Applications include as an aircraft paint stripping maskant, as a moisture barrier in white goods appliances, or a general-purpose heat reflector and heat dissipator, as well as for the mechanical holding of wires and cooling coils in white goods appliances. It can also be used for repairing tears on truck trailers and aircraft, splicing of thin gauge foils, and general-purpose holding, patching, and sealing applications both indoors and outdoors.
