Lumor J (HF) Fluorescent Magnetic Ink consists of finely-divided fluroescent magnetic particles, dispersed in a hydrocarbon carrier fluid, which will fluoresce brilliant yellow/green under the ultraviolet radiation with a predominant wavelengh of 365 nanometres.

Lumor J (HF) uses a hydrocarbon corresponding to AMS2641, Type 1 Magnetic Particle Inspection Vehicle with a Flash Point exceeding 93 C (method ASTM D 93).
