They are essential for use in jet engines, making them very popular in the aerospace industry. There are many positives from using a synthetically made oil, including the increased stability from the controlled chemical properties that production is tailored to. As well as this, other side effects include greater oil efficiency, fuel economy, and the low level temperatures that the products can work under.
