Skydrol 5 is a high-performance hydraulic fluid formulated with a unique base stock, triisobutyl phosphate (TIBP), unlike most other phosphate ester fluids that use tributyl phosphate. This formulation gives Skydrol 5 the lightest weight among any phosphate-ester hydraulic fluids, helping to reduce fuel consumption. Skydrol 5 offers higher temperature capability than Type IV fluids, the lowest density, and improved paint compatibility. It is specifically designed for use in aviation hydraulic systems.
