Warehouse Manager

The Role

The Sil-Mid warehouse facility now covers Unit 1 and Unit 2 at Roman Park. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all activity and operations contained within the warehouse.

Sil-Mid operates a “Best in Class” warehouse and the Warehouse manager leads the warehouse team in maintaining that standard and finding ways to continually improve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinating workflow through the warehouse 
  • Full analysis of warehouse defect using support cases with a risk-based approach. 
  • As a responsible key holder you should ensure that the warehouse is fully secure at the end of shift.
  • Supporting level 1 to make sure they are exceeding expectations through training and feedback. 
  • Making sure all level 1 colleagues carry out all tasks in accordance with relevant work instructions/processes.

I.T Support Administrator

The Role

The primary focus of the role will be providing high quality, responsive, customer focused, 1st line IT Service and Support to users. The IT support will carry out installation and replacement of desktops when required, diagnosing, and resolving any hardware issues in a timely manner and monitoring the IT Ticketing system taking ownership of tickets through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing device and software related issues
  • Providing onsite and remote support to deliver solutions
  • Provide first line IT hardware support for all users
  • Management of the IT Ticketing system, taking ownership of tickets through to resolution, escalating when required
  • Complete logs of supports on tickets or personal/team

Account Manager

The Role

At Sil-Mid our Account Managers create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The Internal Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities.

  • Process quotes and orders through our various systems
  • Allocating and shipping of goods
  • Converting quotations
  • Export order processing

Warehouse Operative

The Role

The Warehouse Operative is responsible for facilitating the smooth running of the busy, fast paced warehouse operation, managing stock intake and preparing stock for dispatch.

The Warehouse Operative must take personal responsibility for following procedures correctly, checking to prevent errors and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe receipt and handling of product
  • Driving of the forklift trucks in a safe and responsible manner 
  • Identifying potential risks upon receipt of goods
  • Carefully handle all stock to prevent loss / damage
