It simplifies the process by removing the need for liquid applications and rinse stages, thereby reducing worker exposure to chromating solutions and eliminating waste such as rinse water. Before use, it is important to become familiar with the mechanics of the pen to ensure effective application.
The pen provides a rapid, straightforward treatment at room temperature with minimal preparation. It offers excellent corrosion protection on aluminium, whether painted or unpainted, and is also effective on many steels. The pen tip can be easily trimmed with a sharp knife to match different surface shapes, and the treated areas are suitable for a wide range of subsequent coatings.
