This material is a two-part, manganese dioxide cured polysulfide compound, with a service temperature range from -55°C (-67°F) to 120°C (248°F). The cured sealant maintains excellent elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel, aviation gas and phosphoric ester hydraulic fluids.
Once mixed, the uncured material has a fluid consistency suitable for application by brush, trowel or roller and does not flow from overhead surfaces after application. It cures at room temperature to form a resilient sealant having excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates.
