3M 470 Electroplating Tape

This product features a vinyl backing that is abrasion resistant, conformable, and ideal for use with plating chemicals. It provides excellent resistance to most chemicals encountered in typical electroplating operations. Prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures above 250°F (121°C) and hot caustics may weaken the adhesive bond. While it resists most common solvents, care should be taken to avoid ketones, chlorinated hydrocarbons, and esters - such as those found in lacquer thinners, degreasers, and paint strippers - which may cause the backing to swell or curl. The backing also accepts marker ink and can be printed using the thermal transfer process.
