This product is thermally stable both alone and in the presence of oxygen, with exceptionally low volatility and minimal tendency to form deposits. Nonflammable and generally chemically inert, Braycote 631RP also exhibits excellent lubricating and dielectric properties, along with good shear stability. It is particularly well suited for use as a lubricant in corrosive environments or oxygen service (LOX/GOX), including as a plug valve lubricant. In addition, it is compatible with concentrated acids and bases and resists hydrolysis and oxidation.
