3M Scotch-Weld DP-609 Structural Adhesive

This product bonds wood, plastics, and painted or primed metal surfaces, offering non-sag properties that make it ideal for vertical surfaces and gap-filling applications. It delivers high strain capability and superior toughness, while remaining easy to mix and dispense to form strong, rigid bonds.

When applied from a cartridge, the adhesive has a work life of approximately 7-9 minutes and develops handling strength within 30-45 minutes. Full strength is achieved over 24 hours, with additional strength continuing to build over time e.g. up to 30 days on select plastics. Its performance makes it a reliable alternative to mechanical fastenings in many applications.
