This product boasts excellent chemical resistance and low thermal conductivity, making it widely used as a cable and insulation wrap, for the protection of fire zone cables, and as a flame barrier or thermal shield within the aerospace industry. It also provides strong resistance to abrasion, as well as to fire and flames, ensuring reliable performance in demanding environments.
This product is coated during manufacture with textile sizings or finishes to aid processing. These organic polymer-based treatments may ignite or decompose when first exposed to heat, potentially releasing hazardous byproducts or process contaminants.
