Eastman Turbo Oil 2380 is uniquely suited for turbo props. It's superior low-temperature characteristics, load-carrying capability, cleanliness and compatibility with elastomers, ensure that aircrafts continue to run at the highest performance possible even in dangerously low temperatures. The product delivers exceptional accessory performance, with extended on-wing accessories lifespan and improved reliability. Turbo Oil 2380 has also been found to neutralize the effects of copper (Cu) - with superior metal passivation results showing reduced oxidation and sludge formation.

Turbo Oil 2380 is competitive for its load-carrying capability, as measured by the Ryder Gear test, which is used to determine a lubricants anti-scuffing properties. Using a reference oil baseline measurement of 102%, Turbo Oil 2380 yielded results of 117%, which is 14.7% above the baseline. In comparison, the leading SPC competitive oil has a score of 108% or 5% above baseline.

This product has demonstrated superior competitive performance across a wide range of engines, particularly in the highly demanding environment of the turboprop engines. In particular, more than 70% of the PT6 engines are lubricated by Turbo Oil 2380. It demonstrates the best low-temperature viscosity performance of all 5 cSt turbine oils commercially available today, measured by the kinematic viscosity of the oil at colder ambient temperatures. This attribute therefore improves the cold soak start reliability.
