The outer ply is silicone rubber, encasing a flexible interlocking steel tube that prevents collapse and hose separation. The bell-shaped ferrule helps hose lacerations at fitting ends, extending hose life.
Its flexibility makes loading ovens and autoclaves more efficient, and its straight and elbow end fitting help reduce strain on hose and vacuum bags. An additional benefit is its safer vacuum for part curing with heavy duty hose construction.
The maximum autoclave pressure it can withstand is 9 bar, and it may be used at temperatures of up to 232°C.
