Account Manager

The Role

At Sil-Mid our Account Managers create long-term, trusting relationships with our customers. The Internal Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities.

Account management responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports. Account Managers also answer client queries and identify new business opportunities among existing customers.

In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional teams including Business Development and Key Account Executives to improve the entire customer experience.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Process quotes and orders through our various systems including ERP and website
  • Allocating and shipping of goods
  • Converting quotations
  • Export order processing- Experience with exporting shipments, knowledge of international freight regulations.
  • Communicate with customers via various means; web chat, email and voice
  • Delivering excellent customer service and satisfaction to all customers
  • Identifying opportunities and logging on a CRM platform for Bus Dev Team
  • Updating and maintaining database with accurate customer information
  • Ensuring all discrepancies are handled quickly and professionally

Sales Ledger Administrator

The Role

To work proactively within an established accounts team for a growing and successful company. Ensuring that all functions of the accounts are always carried out in a professional manner.

The Sales Ledger Administrator is responsible for managing the debts of the business. The purpose of the role is to maximise cash flow by recovering any unpaid money owed, to reduce debt, increase cash flow and reduce risk.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Processing of invoice, credit/debit notes and cash receipts done accurately in a timely manner
  • Issuing and reconciliation of customer account statements to aid revenue control.
  • Banking and bank reconciliation
  • Collect payments according to agreed terms.
  • Notifying Debtors by email, telephone, or letter of upcoming or outstanding invoices
  • Creating new customer accounts, including trade and credit checks.

General Manager

The Role

Accountable to the CEO for the activities of the business with an emphasis on results. You will have autonomy in operating within the business and being able to justify investments as well as changes in key strategies or personnel.

Directs and oversees the daily operations so that they align with the vision of the company. Promotes the goals of the organisation, while optimising and improving the bottom line of the company.

As an ideal candidate, you will be a born leader with previous managerial experience. You will have proven experience overseeing operations, and potentially human resources, finance, and communications departments, too.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversee day-to-day operations
  • Help set and meet operational key performance indicators (KPIs) that are aligned with corporate strategy and goals
  • Work closely with the corporate leadership team to help execute company vision, goals, and culture
  • Develop strategic plans for optimized productivity
  • Create, review and improve organisational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivated work environment, and creating innovative approaches for improvement
  • Uphold standards of excellence and high levels of quality
  • Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships
  • Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished on time.
