The Export Packing Team is all accredited to I.A.T.A. standard and is required to attend regular revalidation courses. This level of training ensures that the team can handle goods of any type for shipment anywhere.
All goods are packed in a 'secure unit' using the highest quality packing materials available, for hazardous shipments we pack all goods in Vermiculite, a highly absorbent fireproof substance which gives excellent protection to the goods but also to the transporting vehicle, be it Aircraft, Ship or Lorry.
Sil-Mid exclusively uses UN Specification outer cartons and all are sealed with tamper proof tape. All shipments are accompanied by shipping declarations which are all prepared on our dedicated computer system, which also holds up to date manufacturers health and safety data sheets for all the products Sil-Mid supply. Our staff can access this information immediately to retrieve any necessary details needed for a shipment, or if you require a 'print-out' this will be sent with the shipment.
Sil-Mid specialises in the packing of small volume hazardous materials to the Far and Middle East. As such Sil-Mid can undertake ultra low turnaround time and sub-contract work for materials including adhesives, resins, silicone compounds, greases, oils and lubricants.
