Hexcel Composites Paste Adhesives

Sil-Mid, based on their effective distribution network and proactive approach, have been selected by Hexcel to distribute the NEW Redux 800 Series of paste adhesives. Sil-Mid will be making the new range available in a range of packsizes and pack types.

3M Film Adhesives

Sil-Mid is pleased to announce the introduction of 3M structural film adhesives and primers to its range of composite materials. Structural film adhesives such as AF163-2K 0.06 and primer EC3960 are now available from stock held in frozen storage in accordance with manufacturers instructions.

3M's range of 250F curing film adhesives offer vacuum cure compatibility, high bond strengths from -67F to 250F, excellent resistance to high moisture environments both before and after curing and high fracture toughness and peel strength.

Anti Ice Fuel Additive

Sil-Mid is delighted to confirmits appointment as the UK distributor for Anti Ice Fuel Addidtives. This product is widely used throughout aviation and will be available to buy online at silmid.com. It can be added to the jet fuel either in storage tanks or directly in aircraft fueltanks during bunkering or inline while transferring the fuel. It is also an effective bacteriostat, which will control growth of microorganisms and avoid clogging of filters. The product is for use in avation turbine fuel only.

DocuShare Data Sheet Management Solution

Sil-Mid Limited today announced further investment and development of its DocuShare datasheet management solution. DocuShare provides a web based solution for accessing Technical amd Safety Data Sheets, the site currently holds some 70,000 documents. The DocuShare website is already the solution of choice for a number of blue chip aerospace companies by allowing users to access Safety Data Sheets 24 hours a day via a web browser.
