Please find below some quick answers to our most commonly asked questions.

How do I create an account to buy online?

To create an online account you will need to Register. Click on the 'Register' link beneath the login box in the top right of the screen and complete the form with all its mandatory fields. Once registered you will be able to order using your credit card.

What are my payment choices?

You can order online using any major credit card. Companies can also opt to pay using a corporate purchasing card or a regular credit account. To order against an account will have to complete a credit account application form. Once complete the form should be faxed back to our Accounts team who will then advise whether or not the application has been successful.

Do I have to pay VAT?

All the prices shown in the online catalogue are exclusive of VAT.

VAT will be added to your order at the current rate of 20%. The VAT Inclusive price is shown next to each product on the Product Detail page.

Can you ship outside of the United Kingdom?

Currently the silmid.com online catalogue only caters for customers in the United Kingdom. If you wish to have goods delivered outside the United Kingdom our Export Sales Team will be able to support you. Contact them by telephone +44 1675 432850 or fax +44 1675 432870.

Has my order been shipped?

When logged in to the online catalogue click on the 'Orders' tab to review your list of recent orders. If the order is shown as 'complete' then it has been shipped. Delivery normally takes between 24 - 72 hours from despatch.

How do I track my order?

When Logged in to the online catalogue click on the 'Orders' tab to review your list of recent orders. If your order shows as despatched but you have not received it you can take the FedEx reference and search for a proof of delivery (POD) on the FedEx website, www.fedex.com/gb or contact the Customer Services team on 01675 432 850.

An item is missing from my shipment, what should I do?

If an item is missing from your shipment, you can either complete the form on the back of the delivery note and fax it to the number provided or contact our customer services team on 01675 432850.

When will my backorder arrive?

We endeavour to supply your order within 28 working days of you placing it online. In some rare instances products take longer than 28 days. This is usually because they are made to order specifically for you or are supplied from outside the United Kingdom. If you have any concerns or worries about delivery contact Customer Services team on 01675 432850 who will be able to advise you of lead times prior to you placing an order.

I need a copy of my invoice

Invoice copies can be requested from the 'My Account' Tab when you are logged in. If you require further assistance with invoice queries please call us on 01675 432850 and ask for the AccountstTeam.
