Can you export goods to me / my customer overseas? |
 |
Yes! Sil-Mid ship items worldwide on a daily basis. All items are packed in house by our IATA, ADR and IMDG qualified export team; simply this means we can ship any of our products to you wherever you are by air, road or sea. We have an extensive Safety Data Sheet library and use this to identify if the item is hazardous for transport.

How can I place an order with Sil-Mid? |

Sil-Mid have made developments to www.silmid.com which means that our Export customers can now order online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! You can still order through the office if you prefer; however by ordering online you can order outside normal office hours, see stock availability instantly, see if the item is classed as hazardous for transport, receive discounted packing and documentation charges and there is no administration fee! What payment methods do you accept? |

New customers will be dealt with on proforma terms initially, after approval from our Accounts team we will send you a Credit Application Form to apply for a 30 day account with Sil-Mid – agreement is at the discretion of our Financial Director. Preferred payment methods are BACS transfer (which takes approximately 3 working days to clear), cheque or credit card. Please note that we are unable to accept American Express and, if ordering through the office, we will be unable to process credit card payments for more than £2,500 sterling pounds. For proforma payments, lead times are valid from receipt of payment and for all orders placed through the office, an administration fee of £12.00 will be added to cover international bank charges.

Can you offer € or $ accounts? |

Yes; if you would prefer to deal with USD $ or Euro € then just let us know and we can set this up for you. If ordering from www.silmid.com then you can select your currency from the drop down menu on the left hand side of the home page.

Do you have a minimum order value? |
 |
No; Sil-Mid Export department do not charge a minimum order value, so you can spend as little or as much as you like.

How much does Export packing cost? |
 |
If ordering on www.silmid.com export packing is automatically calculated by the website depending on the total contents of your basket. Through the office, export packing starts at £16.00 and documents are charged at £12.50.

Can you organise a drop shipment direct to my customer? |
 |
Yes; send us your order and the end delivery address and we will send you our CoC and order acknowledgement; in return you will need to send us any paperwork you wish to be shipped with the goods and your invoice to accompany the goods.

What paperwork will I receive with my goods? |
 |
Paperwork sent with the goods includes Sil-Mid's Certificate of Conformity, product MSDS, invoice and dangerous goods declaration (if applicable). If you require the manufacturers' CoC you will need to let us know at time of order.

What are the delivery terms? |
 |
Prices are Ex-works Sil-Mid Limited unless otherwise stated. If you wish for Sil-Mid to quote delivery, you will be required to provide information regarding the delivery address (area code, city and country) and Sil-Mid will obtain pricing from one of our freight agents.
(Ex-works means you will be required to arrange collection of your goods from our warehouse in Birmingham, UK using your own freight forwarder / courier. Sil-Mid can arrange collection with your carrier on your behalf if requested.)
