Distribution is our day job. We enable customers to source the products they need and then deliver them to the right place at the right time. Our reputation is based on doing that simple thing right the first time and every time thereafter.

Suppliers select us to distribute their products for a number of reasons. The main one being we are excellent at it. As a specialist provider we deliver a level of quality and customer knowledge unrivalled by larger competitors. In our business bigger doesn’t always mean better.

Over thirty years our product database has grown to cover some 14,000 products. Not all are in stock but we can usually source the most obscure parts. It also means we can work with a multitude of descriptors including old trade names, specifications and Nato stock numbers.

To enable us to deliver a state of the art service we have a state of the art system. Our warehouse is paperless and barcode driven. It operates at 99.9947% quality. Our back office systems are also state of the art and we continually invest in the latest technology to help us operate more accurately and efficiently.

Single source supply

Once a product has been correctly identified the Technical Services team work with the Purchasing team to ensure that Sil-Mid Ltd offer competitive terms for both pricing and delivery. Sil-Mid Ltd regularly sources products from around the world to meet a customer's specific needs.

With any highly technical group of products there is always a regular requirement to provide comprehensive product data sheets and health and safety information. The Technical Services team maintains and updates a vast library of information, which is available to customers on request. We know how important it is to get the right product, first time, every time. As such technical services provide a valuable safety net to customers, which eliminates incorrect products being purchased.

Full traceability

With over  thirty years experience of serving the world of Aerospace, Sil-Mid Ltd provides full traceability on materials supplied. All Sil-Mid Ltd shipments include a Certificate of Conformity provided free of charge.

Quality

The Operations Team works very hard to ensure that our business meets the requirements of the ISO quality management system. This work is borne out by the number of customer approvals from all of the major Aerospace OEMs including BAE Systems and Airbus UK.

Delivery

Our customers are incredibly demanding when it comes to getting the product there on time. In partnership with our preferred carriers Sil-Mid Ltd offer a wide range of delivery solutions including economy, next day and palletised services. We handle hazardous goods for UK delivery via road but also supply products worldwide.
