Araldite® 2028 has been slightly reformulated, with Huntsman modifying the ‘polyol’ component. The level of performance of the current product will be maintained.
Araldite® 2028 will be replaced by Araldite® 2028-1, which gives an equivalent performance with the following advantages:
- Mixed adhesive is transparent, water clear.
- Improved bonding strength on glass
- Better resistance to peel
The product specification or the commercial terms will not change for the replacement product. For your information we enclose the ‘side by side ‘comparison report, and a provisional technical data sheet.
Araldite® 2028 6x6x50ML cartridges with booklet label, huntsman item = 2691608 is to be replaced by 2028-1. Huntsman will not offer the new variant in a 200ML cartridge size so this product will be discontinued.
Araldite® 2028 will still be available until current stocks are depleted, the items affected are:
- Araldite® 2028 6 x 6 x 200ML, Huntsman item = 1800408
- Araldite® 2028 20 x 6 x 50ML, Huntsman item = 1793408
However we do recommend that you check suitability for your specific application.
